Stitch Fix is the leading online personal styling service, combining expert human stylists with advanced AI to help clients discover clothing they love. We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead our Checkout, Payments, and Client Trust team in a fully remote capacity.
Responsibilities
- Mentor and grow your team members through regular feedback, empowerment, and career development support.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to define the architecture for our payment and checkout platforms.
- Partner with security and loss prevention teams to architect features that reduce platform fraud.
- Facilitate technical design discussions, remove blockers, and align stakeholders on project roadmaps.
- Hire and cultivate a diverse, inclusive, and high-performing team.
- Foster an environment of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
Must-haves
- 5+ years of experience managing and cultivating diverse, high-performing engineering teams.
- 7+ years of experience building and scaling real-time software solutions.
- Proven experience designing secure, resilient, and high-performance payment integrations.
- Background in implementing fraud detection systems to maintain client trust.
- Familiarity with modern tech stacks, including Node, React, Ruby on Rails, Postgres, and GraphQL.
- Strong communication skills and a people-focused leadership style.
- Professional proficiency in English.
Benefits
The salary range for this role is $164,000 to $241,000 USD, depending on experience and location.
