About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to join us on a full-time basis. This is a hybrid role where you will lead one or more of our engineering teams. You will be responsible for the health of our technology, the professional growth of our engineers, and the successful delivery of our product goals. You will work closely with our leadership team to define our technical roadmap while fostering a culture of thoughtful, high-quality development.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support your teams by managing sprints, prioritizing development work, and ensuring technical excellence.
• Coach engineers on architectural vision, operational standards, and career development to help them reach their full potential.
• Collaborate with product management and the CTO to align engineering efforts with our long-term company goals.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should bring a deep passion for leadership and a desire to help others succeed. We look for candidates who have:

• Recent experience as a senior engineer or in a technical leadership capacity using functional programming languages like Clojure, Elixir, or Haskell.
• A proven ability to work cross-functionally with product and operations teams.
• A strong understanding of what defines a high-performing engineering team across various skill levels and specializations.

This position is available to candidates anywhere. While we have a small office in London, we are fully comfortable hiring team members who work remotely.
