The opportunity

We are searching for a Data and Platform Engineering Manager to join our leadership team and report directly to our CTO. In this role, you will guide a dedicated team of six engineers, balancing the needs of our data and platform initiatives. You will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of our data, from raw ingestion to the creation of governed assets that drive business decisions. As we continue to grow, you will play a pivotal role in evolving our GCP infrastructure, ensuring it is fully automated, cost-efficient, and resilient enough to handle sensitive financial data. This is a high-impact position where your work will directly influence our ability to serve our customers effectively.

A day in the life

• You will define the architectural vision for our data platform, ensuring that all business functions have access to high-quality, self-service data assets.
• You will oversee the software development lifecycle for your team, ensuring that infrastructure and platform improvements are delivered with consistency and clear communication.
• You will mentor and coach your engineers, fostering their growth in data modeling and technical leadership while helping to shape our overall engineering culture.

Who you are

You are an experienced leader who understands what it takes to mature a data platform from the ground up. You have a strong grasp of the modern data stack, including dbt and cloud-based data warehousing, and you are comfortable working with Infrastructure as Code tools to maintain operational rigor. You value collaboration over command and control, and you measure your success by the development and achievements of your team. Whether you come from a background in data engineering, SRE, or DevOps, you are a curious learner who is equally comfortable discussing complex data models and deep infrastructure reviews. Fluency in English is required for this role.
