Engineering Manager at DISCO

What is this role?

We are seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to join us on a full-time, on-site basis. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for guiding a team that builds the core features of our platform. You will bridge the gap between high-level business goals and technical execution, ensuring that we deliver robust, scalable, and user-friendly solutions for our clients.

What will you do?

• Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, ownership, and technical excellence while hiring and developing top-tier talent.
• Own the development of mission-critical front-end and back-end systems, ensuring they are architecturally sound, secure, and highly responsive.
• Partner closely with product and design teams to align on business objectives, evaluate technical designs, and ensure our software consistently meets the needs of our users.

What makes you a great fit?

You are a seasoned leader with over a decade of experience in software engineering and at least three years of management experience. You have a strong background in cloud-native environments and a deep understanding of both front-end and back-end systems. To succeed in this role, you should have:

• Expertise in React and Micro-Frontends, alongside a solid grasp of back-end architectures including SQL, NoSQL, and Microservices.
• Practical experience with GraphQL, AWS, and Kafka.
• Strong communication skills in English, allowing you to effectively represent your team to stakeholders and leadership.
• A proven track record of managing technical roadmaps and fostering operational excellence, including site reliability and high-quality code standards.
