At LearnUpon, we empower organizations to train their employees, partners, and customers through a single, powerful learning management system. With a global presence spanning Dublin, Philadelphia, Belgrade, and Sydney, our mission is to provide the best solutions for our users rather than the easiest ones. We pride ourselves on a supportive, collaborative culture where we celebrate individual and team accomplishments while having fun along the way. We are looking for people who want to go the extra mile to deliver work they can truly be proud of.
The role
We are seeking an Engineering Manager to join our team in either Dublin or Belgrade. This is a full-time, on-site position for an experienced leader who is ready to guide our engineering group. You will serve as a key technical mentor and role model, helping us design and deliver a world-class LMS while fostering the strong, innovative culture that defines our company.
Core responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of engineers, focusing on mentorship and the growth of top-tier talent.
- Drive the execution of our product and technology road maps by collaborating closely with product, partnership, and business stakeholders.
- Cultivate a collaborative work environment that prioritizes transparency, accountability, and technical craftsmanship.
Skills and experience
To succeed in this role, you should bring a blend of technical expertise and leadership experience. We are looking for candidates who possess the following:
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience in technical management.
- Over 5 years of programming experience in software design and development, specifically with object-oriented languages like Java, C/C++, Ruby, or C#.
- Deep knowledge of web application development.
- Exceptional English communication skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between business and technical teams.
- A strong passion for current software design trends, including scalability, security, and performance.
Compensation and benefits
We offer a competitive package designed to support your professional growth and personal well-being. Our benefits include:
- A competitive salary and company ESOP.
- Employer-contributed pension and private health insurance.
- 25 days of annual leave, plus an additional company wellness day.
- Flexible working arrangements.
- A structured learning environment with clear paths for career progression.
- A fun, supportive office culture with regular team events.
How to apply
If you are ready to help us shape the future of learning technology, we would love to hear from you. Our hiring process begins with a 30-minute introductory call for qualified applicants, followed by a series of practical interviews. The final step is a short meeting with our CTO. Please note that you do not need to meet every single requirement to apply, as we review all applications and value diverse experience. We look forward to reviewing your background.
