Key outcomes

• Lead and mentor a squad of 4-6 engineers, focusing on their professional development and career growth.
• Remove operational roadblocks and refine team processes to ensure they remain lean and efficient.
• Take full ownership of technical delivery, ensuring that your squad remains aligned on core business goals.
• Measure success by the tangible business impact of your team's work rather than just lines of code.
• Embrace a DevOps culture by following the principle of you build it, you run it.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of experience in designing and engineering large-scale systems.
• A strong technical background with proficiency in our core stack, including TypeScript, React, Python, PostgreSQL, BigQuery, and MySQL.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and tools such as AWS, GCP, Docker, and Jest.
• A pragmatic approach to problem-solving, favoring simple, maintainable designs over unnecessary complexity.
• The ability to remain organized and effective even when navigating ambiguous or chaotic situations.
• A broad perspective that allows you to see how technical decisions influence the wider business.
• Fluency in English and the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience working in the banking or fintech sector.
• Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams within a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
