The opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to join our log search team on a full-time, on-site basis. In this role, you will serve as a bridge between technical execution and product strategy. You will lead a talented group of engineers, helping them grow professionally while ensuring our platform remains scalable and efficient. You will play a vital role in shaping our technical roadmap, collaborating across departments to deliver features that provide a seamless experience for our users.

A day in the life

• You will mentor and develop your team of software engineers, fostering an environment where individuals can thrive and grow in their careers.
• You will lead the design and development of large-scale, high-volume microservices, ensuring our systems remain performant and reliable.
• You will collaborate closely with product managers, architects, and site reliability teams to define our technical vision and resolve complex production challenges.

Who you are

You are a seasoned leader with a strong background in software engineering and a passion for building high-performing teams. You communicate clearly in English and possess the following qualifications:

• At least 8 years of total experience in engineering, with at least 2 years of direct leadership or management experience.
• A solid grasp of CS fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and complex problem-solving.
• Hands-on experience with Scala, AWS, and microservices architecture.
• A proven track record of working within Agile environments to deliver features on tight schedules.
• A degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• The ability to stay calm under pressure and effectively manage performance while hiring and retaining top talent.
