The role

We are seeking an Engineering Manager to join our team on a full-time, remote basis. This is a management-level position where you will lead a dedicated squad responsible for a core component of our product. You will guide your team through the entire lifecycle of software development, from initial design to final delivery, ensuring that our solutions remain reliable and scalable as we grow.

Core responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with product and design partners to ensure your team delivers high-quality projects that align with our long-term business goals.
• Act as a mentor and coach for your engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning, constructive feedback, and professional growth.
• Improve system performance and architecture by partnering with lead architects to maintain a robust, scalable service-oriented infrastructure.

Skills and experience

To be successful in this role, you should possess a strong blend of technical expertise and people management skills. We are looking for candidates who have experience leading teams of three to seven engineers and a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.

• Proven experience in people management, including performance reviews and conflict resolution.
• Technical proficiency in building and maintaining RESTful APIs and Service Oriented Architecture.
• Hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, specifically PostgreSQL, Redis, and MongoDB.
• Strong familiarity with our core stack, including React and TypeScript.
• Excellent communication skills to navigate cross-functional priorities and build consensus across departments.
