Fieldwire is seeking an inspirational Engineering Manager to lead our BIM engineering team as we continue to build the world's premier construction management platform. Our software is currently used on over one million projects globally, and we are looking for a leader who can mentor our engineers while driving the technical vision for a product that supports a ten trillion dollar industry.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of four to five product engineers, balancing technical guidance with people management.
- Scale the team by actively recruiting top talent and leveraging your professional network.
- Foster a high-performance culture that values both winning and having fun.
- Collaborate with product and design teams to create innovative, high-impact features.
- Enhance our engineering standards, internal tooling, and development processes.
- Oversee the development of our BIM viewer and ensure its seamless integration across our platform.
- Manage the processing and display of complex data through advanced technical mechanisms.
Must-haves
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience.
- At least two years of experience in an engineering management role.
- Proficiency with Rails, Angular, and Docker.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for various stakeholders.
- Proven experience building diverse teams and fostering an inclusive environment.
- Familiarity with high-concurrency, large-scale software architectures, particularly within SaaS and web environments.
- Fluency in English.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience working within a B2B SaaS company.
- An entrepreneurial mindset, such as having been a technical founder or an early-stage startup team member.
- A strong commitment to bringing consistency to infrastructure, codebases, and processes.
- Practical experience with BIM and 3D technologies.
Benefits
The salary range for this position is $195,000 to $220,000, with potential eligibility for a corporate bonus of up to 20 percent.
