Healthie is on a mission to transform virtual-first care delivery by providing the essential infrastructure that healthcare organizations need to scale. We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead our solutions and technical support engineering teams, helping us empower providers to improve patient outcomes through our robust, API-first platform.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, fostering career growth and providing consistent support through regular 1:1 meetings.
- Set clear, measurable goals for your team while aligning objectives with our broader company KRs and KPIs.
- Act as a hiring manager to build and scale your team.
- Drive the development of high-quality, maintainable software by enforcing best practices and managing technical debt.
- Develop metrics to track performance, improve delivery cadence, and reduce defect rates.
- Collaborate closely with product, design, sales, and operations leadership to translate business requirements into actionable development plans.
- Maintain clear communication regarding team progress and priorities to all relevant stakeholders.
Must-haves
- At least 5 years of experience in software engineering, including a minimum of 2 years in a management or leadership capacity.
- Strong technical proficiency with our core stack: Rails, React, TypeScript, GraphQL, Postgres, Redis, Sidekiq, RSpec, and Capybara.
- Proven ability to lead engineering teams using modern Agile methodologies and efficient software delivery practices.
- Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills, with a focus on influencing through leadership rather than authority.
- A passion for healthcare technology and a commitment to our core values of Respect, Reliability, and Resilience.
- Grit and a strong bias toward execution in a fast-paced environment.

The base salary for this position is $180,000 to $200,000 per year, plus an annual performance bonus and equity compensation.
