We are looking for an Engineering Manager to join our team in New York City and help us continue to innovate in the payments space.

What you'll be doing

• You will lead, mentor, and support a talented team of four to eight engineers while fostering an inclusive culture where everyone feels empowered to contribute.
• You will oversee the entire development lifecycle, ensuring that our team follows high-quality software patterns and adheres to established best practices.
• You will collaborate closely with leadership and cross-functional partners to define priorities, distribute work equitably, and implement processes that drive productivity and product success.

What you'll bring

To be successful in this role, you should have a strong technical background and a passion for people management. We are looking for the following qualifications:

• At least two years of experience managing and building high-performing engineering teams.
• Five or more years of hands-on experience working with Ruby on Rails and RSpec.
• Solid expertise in Relational Databases and Database Design.
• Familiarity with the Heroku platform, as well as the Stripe and Plaid APIs.
• A genuine passion for maintaining principled software patterns and a desire to solve complex problems in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Fluency in English and a collaborative mindset that values respect and team growth.
