About the Role
We are searching for an Engineering Manager to join our team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will oversee our mobile development initiatives, ensuring that our educational applications on iOS and Android remain industry-leading. You will balance hands-on software design with high-level team management, coaching our engineers to reach their full potential while refining our internal processes for maximum efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and lead a high-performing team of engineers and managers to deliver world-class mobile educational experiences.
- Drive technical excellence across the entire development lifecycle, from initial design through to final release.
- Mentor and motivate your team members, fostering a culture of professional growth, clear communication, and shared purpose.
Requirements
To be successful in this position, you should have a strong background in both technical development and leadership. We require the following qualifications:
- At least 7 years of experience in software engineering, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership capacity.
- A Bachelor's or advanced degree in computer science or a related field.
- Expert-level proficiency in iOS and/or Android development.
- Exceptional communication and time-management skills.
- A genuine passion for coaching people and improving education through technology.
- Experience with SwiftUI is considered a significant plus.
Location
This position is based on-site at our headquarters in San Mateo, California.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive base salary range of $170,000 to $220,000. In addition to your base pay, this role includes equity compensation. We are committed to providing a supportive work environment where every team member can thrive.
