Role at a glance
We are seeking a Lead Engineering Manager to join our Client team on a full-time basis. This is a remote position, meaning you can work from anywhere in the UK while collaborating with our distributed product and tech teams. You will guide our technical domain and empower our engineers to deliver secure, high-quality solutions that drive our business forward.
Your impact
- Lead, coach, and mentor a team of 6-9 engineers, fostering a culture of accountability, autonomy, and high performance.
- Partner closely with Product, Sales, and Support teams to align technical delivery with our long-term business goals.
- Champion engineering excellence by upholding best practices in CICD, automated testing, and documentation to reach elite DORA benchmark standards.
What you'll need
- Demonstrable experience leading a team of 5-9 software engineers in a fast-paced startup environment.
- At least one year of hands-on coding experience in roles such as Software Engineer or Data Engineer.
- Strong familiarity with Google Cloud, Go, Next.js, and mobile development, including React Native.
- A product-led mindset with the ability to communicate complex technical challenges to non-technical stakeholders using data-driven storytelling.
- Experience building and maintaining a strong, collaborative culture within a remote-first team.
