The opportunity

We are seeking a hands-on Engineering Manager to join our team in Bangalore, India. In this role, you will be the technical anchor for a talented group of engineers, guiding them through the complexities of managing a massive, containerized platform. You will balance high-level architectural strategy with deep-dive technical problem-solving, ensuring our infrastructure remains efficient and scalable as we handle petabytes of customer data. This is a unique chance to shape the future of our file system team while mentoring the next generation of engineering talent.

A day in the life

• You will provide hands-on technical leadership, conducting code reviews and participating in design sessions to ensure our systems are built for performance and reliability.
• You will mentor and coach your team members, fostering a culture of growth and technical excellence while helping them navigate complex challenges.
• You will collaborate with cross-functional partners to translate business objectives into scalable cloud architecture, ensuring our platform continues to meet the needs of our global user base.

Who you are

You are a seasoned professional with over 10 years of hands-on development experience in cloud environments and at least 5 years of proven success in technical leadership and team management. You communicate clearly and confidently, making complex technical concepts accessible to everyone. Your technical toolkit includes:

• Deep proficiency in Java, Python, or Go.
• Extensive experience with Kubernetes and major cloud platforms like GCP, AWS, or Azure.
• Strong knowledge of database and storage solutions such as MySQL, Postgres, and Cassandra.
• A solid grasp of computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and modern garbage collection models.
• Fluency in English to facilitate seamless communication across our global organization.
