Your responsibilities:
- Manage teams of software engineers (8-10), including hiring, training, coaching, and career development.
- Be responsible for teams’ performance and quality from planning to release.
- Ensure that software development practices and tools are efficient, scalable and are continuously improving.
- Be part of the Product Management Leadership Team and help ensure that product requirements are met and that software deliveries are aligned with business goals.
- Proactively spot bottlenecks and/or pain points within the engineering team, suggest projects, and lead them from idea to completion.
Your qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience in hands-on software development
- 1+ years of experience with managing engineers
- Optimistic attitude and pragmatic approach to solving problems

The Team:
At Lenus we put great emphasis on collaboration across the product team as we believe that only then can we build a product that we’re all proud of. As an engineering manager you’ll be working with a diverse group of people with varying levels of experience from Junior to Staff. You’ll also be part of the product management team where there will be plenty of opportunity to put your own personal touch on the overarching goals and objectives of the product team.
You’ll be an integral part of setting the overall direction of the product team both through the individual and the team as a whole. Together with our other Engineering Managers you’ll be responsible for the happiness and personal development of our engineers. Your personal amount of direct reports will be somewhere in the range of 8-10.
We’re looking for someone who has an optimistic attitude and pragmatic approach to solving problems. We embrace change and are not afraid to change our way of working if there is a better way to deliver a high quality product.
