What you bring
We are seeking a lead-level Engineering Manager to join us in Australia on a full-time, hybrid basis. You will be instrumental in shaping our technical roadmap and fostering a culture of excellence as we continue our rapid growth trajectory. Your role will focus on driving our product development while ensuring our team remains efficient and innovative.
- Lead and mentor a cross-functional engineering team to build a collaborative and high-performance environment.
- Partner with product managers to translate business objectives into technical requirements and oversee the execution of our roadmap.
- Identify and resolve process bottlenecks to improve team velocity and development cycles.
Requirements
The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with at least three years of experience managing engineering teams within a fast-paced, agile startup. You should possess a strong technical background in software development, specifically with NodeJS, TypeScript, GraphQL, and Postgres. We value experience in building event-driven and test-driven systems. Beyond technical proficiency, you must have a product-oriented mindset and the ability to navigate ambiguity with a solution-focused approach. Excellent communication skills and the ability to inspire and mentor team members are essential for success in this role. Fluency in English is required.
