As the leading digital health marketplace, we help millions of people find and book care across all 50 states, and we are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead our Search Relevance team in this effort.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and grow a talented team of Machine Learning engineers and Data Scientists.
- Partner with product leadership to define and execute a clear technical strategy and roadmap.
- Ensure our platform remains secure, scalable, and performant while maintaining high uptime.
- Foster an inclusive engineering culture by building career ladders and supporting cross-team initiatives.
- Act as a bridge between technical teams and internal stakeholders to translate complex ML concepts into actionable business goals.
- Engage in hands-on development when necessary to guide the team and set high technical standards.
Must-haves
- Proven experience working on consumer-facing products that utilize Machine Learning.
- A track record of shipping features to external customers, either as an individual contributor or a manager, within large-scale data or ML infrastructure.
- Deep expertise in software development methodologies, specifically within the fields of Data Science and ML.
- Strong familiarity with microservice architectures and AWS cloud environments.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and build consensus across all levels of the organization.
- An entrepreneurial mindset with a strong bias toward action and a commitment to empathy in leadership.
- Fluency in English.
Benefits
The base salary range for this position is $190,000 to $255,000 USD.
