Our tools automate repetitive tasks and provide actionable insights, allowing teams to focus on the work that truly matters. We are currently looking for an Engineering Manager to lead our Visitors team, which oversees our flagship product as we continue to scale and reach new audiences.
Key outcomes
- Collaborate with your team to define clear objectives and ensure consistent delivery against those goals.
- Mentor, recruit, and develop a high-performing, self-organizing group of engineers.
- Create and execute 6 to 12 month product roadmaps while inspiring the team with a strong technical vision.
- Balance hands-on technical contributions with effective people management and coaching.
- Cultivate strong partnerships with cross-functional peers in product and design.
- Foster a culture of engineering excellence by establishing metrics for continuous improvement and quality.
- Enhance the Envoy engineering brand through community engagement, such as blogging, speaking at conferences, or contributing to open source projects.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of hands-on technical development experience.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience managing high-performing engineering teams.
- A Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- A proven history of delivering high-impact projects efficiently.
- Practical experience managing day-to-day agile and scrum processes.
- A demonstrated ability to attract, hire, and retain top-tier engineering talent.
- Fluency in English.
- Ability to work in a hybrid capacity, with presence required at our San Francisco headquarters at least three days per week, from Tuesday through Thursday.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience working within high-growth, venture-backed startups or SaaS organizations.
- Background in building and launching greenfield products.
- Proficiency in Ruby, Kotlin, Java, or JavaScript.
- Experience managing the migration from monolithic architectures to service-oriented systems.
- A history of contributions to open source projects or libraries.
- Experience in teaching, mentoring, or technical blogging.
Compensation
For this full-time role, we offer a salary range of $190,400 to $218,000 annually. In addition to a competitive salary, our compensation package includes equity and comprehensive benefits. Final offers are determined based on an individual's specific expertise and experience.
