At Sprout Social, we believe that the best engineering happens when talented people come together to solve complex problems at a massive scale. We are a team that values craft, empathy, and continuous learning, and we are looking for a leader who is just as passionate about building reliable systems as they are about supporting the people who create them. As we continue to grow our platform, we need someone to guide our Core SRE team as they shape the future of our cloud-based infrastructure. If you are looking for a place where you can make a tangible impact on both our technology and our culture, you have found your home.
The opportunity
We are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead our Core SRE team. In this role, you will be the driving force behind our Kubernetes infrastructure, ensuring that our systems remain robust, secure, and scalable. You will not just be managing a team, you will be a strategic partner who influences our architectural roadmap and helps define the standards for how we build reliable experiences for our customers. This is a unique chance to work with an empathetic leadership team that prioritizes mentorship, career development, and technical excellence.
A day in the life
- You will build and motivate a high-performing engineering team, guiding them to deliver quality results through iterative development.
- You will apply your expertise in maintaining secure Kubernetes clusters to power the next generation of Sprout Social’s product experiences.
- You will stay hands-on by providing code reviews, upholding technical standards, and collaborating with cross-functional leaders to align on strategy and execution.
Who you are
You are a pragmatic and collaborative leader who knows how to help a team navigate difficult technical challenges while fostering a culture of mutual growth. You communicate effectively in English and bring a strong background in infrastructure management. Your qualifications include:
- At least 5 years of experience developing and supporting infrastructure within a production environment.
- At least 2 years of experience in a management role leading infrastructure teams.
- Solid familiarity with Kubernetes concepts.
- Experience with AWS and automation tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, or Chef is highly preferred.
