Engineering Manager - Reservation & Guest at Cloudbeds

Cloudbeds is the leading platform transforming the hospitality industry, providing a unified system that modernizes operations for tens of thousands of properties across more than 150 countries. We are looking for a talented Engineering Manager to lead our remote Reservation and Guest team as we continue to scale our award-winning technology.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a high-performing, agile team of software engineers within our global organization.
• Maintain a hands-on approach by contributing directly to the codebase and modeling technical excellence.
• Perform regular code reviews to ensure our software meets high standards for quality, maintainability, and performance.
• Foster an inclusive, collaborative environment that encourages effective communication and knowledge sharing.
• Provide mentorship, coaching, and performance evaluations to support the professional growth of your team members.
• Identify and implement process improvements, automation, and scalable workflows to boost team productivity.
• Partner with product and leadership teams to ensure the successful delivery of high-impact projects.

Must-haves

• A degree in computer science or a related technical field.
• At least 7 years of experience in backend development, specifically with PHP or Java.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience managing remote, international engineering teams.
• Deep knowledge of SaaS technologies, design patterns, and industry best practices.
• Strong project management, time management, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and presentation abilities.
• A passion for agile development and driving iterative, high-impact change.
• Fluency in English.

Nice-to-haves

• Proficiency with Python, React, MySQL, or Terraform.
• Experience supporting applications within Amazon Web Services.
• Background in working with micro-service, serverless, or service-oriented architectures.

Benefits

The annual compensation for this role is between $180,000 and $230,000.
