Picture a small but ambitious group of builders who have already moved more than two point nine trillion dollars across Ethereum and a dozen other chains. Every day we ship tools that let millions of people trade, save, and move value without ever touching a bank. When you step into this story, you help steer the very contracts that make it possible.
The opportunity
As Engineering Manager for the Protocols team you will lead the engineers who design, build, and secure the smart-contract foundations behind Uniswap V4, UniswapX, and the next wave of protocol upgrades. Your work directly shapes how value moves on the internet while guiding a high-caliber group through complex technical and organizational challenges.
A day in the life
You meet with engineers to review upcoming hooks, cross-chain deployments, and governance changes, offering architectural guidance and ensuring every decision favors gas efficiency and upgrade safety.
You coordinate threat-modeling sessions, schedule external audits, and triage findings from our bug-bounty program so the team ships with confidence and zero critical exploits.
You translate product goals into clear milestones, track progress across multiple chains, and partner with Product, Security, and Legal so every release delights users while protecting billions in total value locked.
Who you are
You bring at least eight years of software-engineering experience, three of those spent shipping production EVM smart contracts in Solidity or low-level languages such as Huff or Yul, and two years leading engineering teams. You have already released contracts that secured significant TVL without critical incidents, and you are fluent in AMM mechanics, oracles, and bridges. You have guided formal-verification efforts, static-analysis reviews, and external audit cycles, and you communicate complex trade-offs clearly to both engineers and non-technical partners. A bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or engineering-or equivalent hands-on experience-rounds out your background. Contributions to open-source DeFi protocols, familiarity with L2s, account abstraction, or zero-knowledge proofs, and comfort with tools such as Foundry, Hardhat, Slither, or Certora are all advantages.
