The role

We are looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to lead our Protocol Optimization efforts. This is a full-time, remote position open to candidates based in the contiguous United States and Canada. You will oversee a talented team of data scientists and software engineers, guiding them as we tackle complex challenges in mechanism design, smart contract development, and financial product optimization.

Core responsibilities

• Lead a multidisciplinary team of data scientists and software engineers to build high-impact products.
• Translate robust mathematical and theoretical principles into effective, practical product development decisions.
• Uphold the highest standards of quality across all engineering and data science initiatives while fostering a collaborative environment for continuous improvement.

Skills and experience

To succeed in this role, you should have a strong background in technical modeling or analysis, along with a passion for mentorship. We value candidates who can bridge the gap between complex theoretical concepts and real-world execution.

• At least 5 years of experience in technical modeling or analysis, with a preference for those who have worked directly with production systems.
• At least 1 year of direct management experience, including a proven ability to coach and mentor junior team members.
• A solid foundation in optimization theory, mechanism design, or computational economics.
• The ability to balance long-term strategic planning with the need for immediate, tactical execution.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex ideas for partners and customers.

Compensation and benefits
