The role

We are looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to join our team in a full-time, hybrid capacity based in the United States. This is a hands-on leadership position where you will guide our engineering efforts focused on production support. You will be responsible for resolving critical bugs and issues escalated by our client services team, requiring a leader who can balance technical guidance with active coding contributions.

Core responsibilities

• Lead and prioritize the resolution of production issues escalated by the client services department.
• Provide technical mentorship and leadership to the engineering team while actively contributing to code.
• Manage incident response procedures and participate in on-call rotations to ensure 24/7 support for critical system outages.

Skills and experience

To succeed in this role, you should have at least 6 years of experience in Information Technology, with a minimum of 3 years working specifically with SaaS products. You should be comfortable debugging live production systems and possess the following qualifications:

• Strong proficiency in web programming languages, specifically JavaScript, PHP, and GraphQL.
• Experience with client-side frameworks such as React and AngularJS.
• Deep knowledge of database management using MySQL, Postgres, or MongoDB.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS and monitoring tools such as AWS CloudWatch and Datadog.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
