The opportunity

We are seeking a technical Engineering Manager to lead and scale our Product Engineering team. You will report directly to our Head of Product and serve as a hands-on leader for a high-performing group of full-stack engineers. Your work will involve maintaining our core products like Deposit Switch and Verify, while also bringing new innovations like Bill Navigator to market. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys staying close to the code while simultaneously coaching a team to achieve technical excellence and business impact.

A day in the life

• You will write code daily to support and expand our product offerings while ensuring our systems remain reliable, secure, and performant.
• You will manage, coach, and enable your team members, focusing on their career development and helping them grow into high-caliber engineers.
• You will collaborate closely with our Product team to shape the roadmap and prioritize work that delivers the most value to our customers.

Who you are

You are a collaborative leader with a strong technical background and a passion for building great products. You communicate clearly in English and thrive in a team-oriented environment. To be successful in this role, you should possess the following:

• At least 5 years of experience as a software engineer.
• 1 or more years of experience in a technical lead or engineering management role.
• A proven track record of shipping products that drive meaningful business results.
• The ability to work in a hybrid capacity, joining us at our NYC headquarters 3 days per week.
