What you'll be doing

• Lead, mentor, and grow a global team of software engineers, helping them improve their skills while prioritizing working smarter to achieve our goals.
• Partner with product management, analytics, and user experience teams to lead a cross-functional pod that drives end-to-end customer features, such as our cart, checkout, and Autoship services.
• Oversee the architecture and performance of our services, ensuring we maintain high standards for reliability and scalability while utilizing technologies like Python, PHP, Java, Golang, and AWS.

What you'll bring

To be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in leading high-performing teams and building robust, consumer-facing applications. We are looking for someone who possesses the following qualifications:

• At least 5 years of experience in a leadership role and 10 years of experience in end-to-end development for high-traffic consumer websites.
• Deep technical expertise in building n-tier applications that handle millions of daily transactions, along with a solid understanding of AWS services like EKS, Lambda, and S3.
• A strong grasp of microservice architecture, performance scaling, and observability tools, coupled with proficiency in Linux, relational and NoSQL databases, and serverless computing.
• Excellent communication skills in English to collaborate effectively across our global organization.

What you'll get
