Engineering Manager, Platform at Vistarmedia-2

We are seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead our platform and security operations team. In this role, you will guide a talented group of engineers dedicated to building robust cloud infrastructure, enhancing developer productivity, and managing our authentication and security protocols within a dynamic, hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and support software engineers to foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and high-quality delivery.
• Oversee the development and maintenance of cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code principles, specifically leveraging the AWS Cloud Development Kit.
• Manage authentication frameworks and security practices, including OAuth, while maintaining efficient CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners and product owners to define project scopes, set technical objectives, and prioritize initiatives.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies and monitor project progress to ensure timely, reliable releases.
• Write clean, testable, and maintainable code to support our distributed applications.
• Act as a primary advocate for your team, ensuring they have the resources and support necessary to remain happy and productive.

Must-haves

• 8 to 15+ years of relevant professional experience in software engineering.
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proficiency in React, TypeScript, Python, or Go.
• Deep understanding of cloud computing platforms, with a strong preference for AWS.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code and building CI/CD platforms.
• Familiarity with authentication protocols such as OAuth, SAML, or OpenID Connect.
• Proven leadership experience in an Agile or Scrum environment.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for diverse stakeholders.
• Fluency in English.
