Engineering Manager Platform at Watershed

We are currently seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to join our team in San Francisco. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about product development and wants to help shape the culture of a rapidly growing company. You will work alongside a group of peer managers and technical leads to define our engineering practices while helping us scale our impact.

Key outcomes

• Serve as the primary manager for our Footprint and Calculations engineering teams, which provide core platform services for our internal product teams and customers.
• Oversee and support a team of 10 engineers.
• Provide leadership and inspiration to the team as we navigate our next phase of growth beyond the 100 million dollar mark.
• Collaborate effectively with our Product, Design, and Go-To-Market teams to drive business objectives.
• Actively participate in recruiting, hiring, and onboarding new talent to build a diverse and high-performing organization.

Requirements

• Between 2 and 5 years of direct experience managing engineering teams.
• A minimum of 8 years of total professional experience in software development and management.
• Proven success in growing and leading teams of 10 or more engineers.
• A strong background in platform engineering, specifically in building business-critical systems that support broader engineering efforts in a scaling environment.
• Demonstrated product sense and experience working closely with customers.
• Professional experience in B2B environments.
• Fluency in English.
• Ability to work on-site at our San Francisco headquarters.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience in enterprise SaaS environments.
• A background in product development.
• A professional history that includes both scrappy startup environments and larger corporate structures.

Compensation

The anticipated cash compensation for this role ranges from 217,350 USD to 275,300 USD. This is complemented by a comprehensive rewards package that includes equity, dental insurance, vision insurance, and a 401k plan.
