Young people across the country are facing a significant mental health crisis, and at Charlie Health, we are dedicated to providing the life-saving care they need. We offer personalized, evidence-based treatment programs that combine individual, family, and group therapy to foster long-term healing from home. Our approach is working, with over 90% of our clients reporting improvements in their most severe symptoms. We are looking for a passionate Engineering Manager to join our Platform team and help us scale this impact to reach millions of lives.
What you'll be doing
- You will take ownership of our technical output, ensuring we deliver high-quality, performant, and maintainable infrastructure that accelerates our engineering velocity.
- You will act as a player/coach for the Platform team, mentoring your colleagues, amplifying their strengths, and leading by example.
- You will define and execute the team's roadmap while building strong partnerships across the engineering organization to align our priorities with broader company goals.
What you'll bring
We are looking for someone with at least 7 years of professional experience, including 2 or more years in a management role. You should have a proven track record of directly managing DevOps, Infrastructure, or Platform engineers. Your technical toolkit should include:
- Significant experience with infrastructure as code, particularly Terraform.
- Expertise in building robust CI/CD pipelines and containerizing applications with Docker.
- Deep proficiency in scripting with BASH.
- Familiarity with cloud ecosystems such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, with a preference for AWS.
- Knowledge of LLMs, Neural Networks, and Graph Databases to drive optimized outcomes.
Beyond your technical skills, you should be a clear communicator who can translate complex concepts for non-technical partners. You are a self-directed problem solver who thrives in ambiguous environments and brings a growth mindset to everything you do. Please note that while this role is remote, candidates within 75 minutes of our NYC office are expected to work from the office one day per week. We require fluency in English.
What you'll get
We offer a hybrid work environment designed to support your professional and personal balance. As a full-time, exempt employee, you will have access to our comprehensive benefits package, which you can explore in detail through our careers portal.
