Are you ready to take the lead on a transformative project that will shape the future of our core infrastructure? At Cardata, we are currently rebuilding our platform from the ground up, and we are looking for a passionate Engineering Manager to guide our team through this exciting evolution. If you thrive in a fast-paced startup environment and enjoy balancing high-level strategy with hands-on technical work, we would love to have you on board.
What you bring
As our Engineering Manager for the Platform team, you will serve as a hands-on leader who bridges the gap between technical execution and long-term strategy. This is a full-time, remote position that requires a deep understanding of modern web technologies, including TypeScript, React, PostgreSQL, NodeJS, and NestJS. Your role will focus on three primary areas:
- Mentoring and developing a high-performing team through regular feedback, performance evaluations, and career coaching.
- Defining the architectural roadmap to ensure our platform is scalable, secure, and built to support our business objectives.
- Staying actively involved in the development process to ensure project milestones are met while upholding rigorous code quality standards.
Requirements
We are looking for someone with at least 8 years of experience in software engineering, including at least 2 years in a leadership capacity. You should have a strong grasp of clean code principles, testing strategies, and experience with monitoring tools like Datadog. Success in this role requires excellent communication skills and a collaborative spirit, as you will be working closely with product managers and other stakeholders to translate user needs into technical solutions. We value a growth mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement. While not mandatory, a degree in Computer Science or a related field is considered a plus for this position.
What we offer
We believe in empowering our team members to do their best work in an environment that supports their lifestyle. Our benefits include:
- The flexibility of remote work.
