What is this role?
We are looking for an Engineering Manager for our Platform team. This is a full-time, executive-level position that can be performed remotely from anywhere. In this role, you will lead a talented team of engineers and architects to design and maintain the infrastructure that powers Dash Enterprise. You will be a key player in ensuring our platform remains scalable, reliable, and performant while collaborating across our development, DevOps, and product teams.
What will you do?
- Own the architectural roadmap for the Dash Enterprise platform, focusing on Kubernetes and related technologies to ensure high availability and security.
- Hire, mentor, and manage the Platform engineering team, providing strategic guidance and conducting performance reviews to foster professional growth.
- Oversee the implementation of infrastructure automation and orchestration best practices using tools like Terraform, Helm, and Kubernetes Operators.
What makes you a great fit?
To succeed in this role, you should be a collaborative leader who is comfortable working in both English and French. We are looking for someone with the following background:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 8 years of experience as a Platform or Infrastructure Architect, team lead, or staff software developer, specifically with Kubernetes-based products.
- At least 3 years of experience managing software engineering teams.
- Extensive hands-on expertise with Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Proficiency in automation and scripting with languages such as Python, Go, or Bash.
- Strong knowledge of infrastructure-as-code principles and microservices architecture.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Even if you do not meet every single requirement, we encourage you to apply if you feel you would be a great addition to our team.
What's in it for you?
We offer a supportive, flexible, and growth-oriented environment where you can make a real impact. Our benefits include:
- Remote-first work environment with home office support.
- Stock options for all full-time employees.
- Comprehensive health coverage.
- Generous paid time off and parental leave top-up programs.
- Access to learning and development programs.
- Participation in our employee-led diversity, equity, and inclusion resource group.
