We’re Versapay, the company behind an Accounts Receivable Efficiency Suite that automates invoicing, B2B payments, and AI-driven cash application for growing businesses. Our platform connects directly to leading ERPs, offers a self-serve payment portal, and helps teams resolve the issues automation can’t handle on its own. Backed by Great Hill Partners, we operate across the U.S. and Canada, serve 10,000 customers, and move more than $170 billion in payment volume each year.
What you'll be doing
- Lead the Payments engineering team through strategic planning while staying hands-on with architecture, code reviews, and new feature development to keep our gateway software reliable and scalable.
- Mentor engineers in regular one-on-ones, guide team discussions, and partner closely with Product to translate company goals into clear technical priorities and delivery plans.
- Drive critical research and development work that strengthens system performance, security, and reliability as our customer base and transaction volume continue to grow.
What you'll bring
You bring at least five years of hands-on software engineering experience with C#, including solid work with both the .NET Framework 4.8 and .NET Core. You have two to three years of experience managing engineering teams, running meetings, and tracking project progress with tools such as Jira. Payments domain experience is important; integrating processors such as FIS, Fiserv, or Adyen on the acquiring side is a strong advantage. You are comfortable building and consuming external APIs, working with SQL Server and stored procedures, and applying web application fundamentals including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, session management, and the OWASP Top Ten security practices. Version control with Git and GitHub Actions is part of your daily workflow. You communicate progress, risks, and outcomes clearly to senior stakeholders, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and enjoy detective-style problem solving when requirements are ambiguous. English fluency is required, and the role is fully remote.
What you'll get
You'll receive a competitive compensation package along with the following benefits:
- Fully remote work arrangement that lets you collaborate from anywhere.
