The opportunity
We are looking for an Engineering Manager to join our team and help build the subscription e-commerce platform that powers our daily operations. In this role, you will be the bridge between our technical goals and our people, providing the coaching and mentorship necessary to help our engineers thrive. You will work closely with product managers and fellow engineers to refine our processes, remove roadblocks, and ensure our team is aligned on the most impactful work. You will be instrumental in fostering a collaborative environment where our engineers can do their best work while we scale our systems to support hundreds of thousands of orders.
A day in the life
- Provide dedicated mentorship and coaching to a team of four or more engineers, supporting their personal growth and professional development.
- Partner with product managers and cross-functional stakeholders to refine our technical roadmap and participate in high-level system architecture discussions.
- Cultivate a healthy, inclusive, and dynamic team culture while actively removing obstacles to ensure the group delivers outstanding results.
Who you are
You are an experienced leader who understands both the technical and human sides of engineering. You have a strong background in software development and a passion for building robust, scalable systems using modern technologies like Node.js, TypeScript, AWS, and Docker. We are looking for someone who excels in an in-office environment, as we believe that working together in a shared space fosters the best collaboration and connection. You bring at least five years of software engineering experience, including three years in a management role where you have successfully developed talent and grown healthy teams.
