We are currently looking for an Engineering Manager to lead our Internal Tools team, ensuring our internal workflows remain robust, efficient, and capable of supporting our users at scale.
Key outcomes
- Provide leadership and mentorship to a diverse group of software engineers, supporting their professional growth through regular feedback, goal setting, and performance reviews.
- Partner with product managers, UX leads, and engineering stakeholders to define and execute roadmaps that align with our strategic objectives.
- Foster a culture of rapid iteration and frequent delivery, ensuring the team consistently provides value while maintaining high standards for software performance and reliability.
- Drive clear communication across departments to resolve technical blockers, manage project scope, and ensure high-quality, timely results.
- Facilitate technical decision-making that prioritizes long-term maintainability and scalability, while championing a user-centric approach to product development.
- Cultivate an inclusive and collaborative team environment that encourages transparency and collective accountability.
Requirements
- Three to five or more years of experience in people management, specifically supporting individual contributors at various levels.
- A proven track record of recruiting, retaining, and developing high-performing engineering teams.
- Strong expertise in project management, with the ability to guide complex technical projects from inception to completion.
- Deep familiarity with Agile methodologies and best practices for modern software development.
- Demonstrated success in building user-centric products and delivering value through iterative processes, such as MVPs and frequent deployments.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on remote-first collaboration and building consensus across cross-functional teams.
- A commitment to fostering diversity, inclusion, and a strong sense of belonging within the workplace.
- Proficiency in English.
Preferred qualifications
- Professional experience working with Ruby on Rails and React.
- Background in the political technology sector or electoral politics.
- Experience working in payments, B2B, or two-sided marketplace environments.
Compensation
This is a full-time, remote position with a salary range of $174,000 to $211,000. We are committed to consistent compensation practices and determine final offers based on candidate experience, interview performance, and internal parity.
