Engineering Manager, Infrastructure at Cardata

Cardata is searching for a seasoned Engineering Manager to lead our Infrastructure team. You will oversee the backbone of our technology stack, ensuring our systems remain scalable and robust as we continue to grow.

Responsibilities

• Audit our existing infrastructure with a focus on security, deployment pipelines, and budget management.
• Collaborate with the Director of Engineering to define and execute both short-term and long-term technical roadmaps.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing team while fostering a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing.
• Lead initiatives to design cost-effective cloud infrastructure that supports our business goals.
• Oversee vendor relationships and manage infrastructure budgets to maximize resource efficiency.
• Partner with security teams to maintain SOC 2 Type 2 compliance and implement industry best practices.
• Refine our CI/CD processes to ensure rapid and reliable code deployments.
• Engage in hands-on technical work when necessary to support team alignment and project progress.

Must-haves

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 8 years of experience in infrastructure engineering, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership position.
• Proven expertise in cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure, alongside Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Strong technical proficiency with Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD tooling, and monitoring platforms like Datadog.
• Solid understanding of networking, systems architecture, and Zero Trust Security.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
• A commitment to maintaining thorough and accurate documentation.
• Strong emotional intelligence and a track record of effective team management.
• Fluency in English.
