As the Engineering Manager for our Foundation Platform team, you will play a pivotal role in managing the team responsible for providing and managing the core infrastructure and foundational services that underpin the entire SaaS platform. It focuses on building and maintaining the essential components required to ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of the platform on AWS. You'll lead a team of talented engineers, driving the delivery of high-quality services and fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. What you will do in this role 🧐

• Lead and mentor a team of talented engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical efforts with business objectives and drive the successful delivery of projects.
• Oversee the end-to-end delivery process, from ideation to deployment, ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
• Advocate for best practices and drive continuous improvement in engineering processes and methodologies.
• Manage team resources and capacity effectively to meet project demands and business priorities.
• Apply project and delivery management principles, leveraging Agile methodologies to organize and optimize team workflow and deliveries.

Stakeholder Collaboration

In this role, you will collaborate closely with key stakeholders across the organisation, including other Engineering Managers, Product Managers, senior leaders, and business functions. You will work hand-in-hand with (and lead) the teams to align technical efforts with business priorities, drive innovation, and deliver impactful solutions to our customers.

Roadmap for the Role

• In your first month, you will onboard and familiarize yourself with our team, culture, and projects.
• Within the first three months, you will lead the team in achieving key project milestones and contribute to building a culture of collaboration and excellence.
• By the end of your 6 months, you will have established yourself as a trusted leader, made significant contributions to our product development efforts, and played a key role in driving the success of our engineering organization.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience in a leadership role, managing engineering teams, and driving project delivery in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong technical background with hands-on experience in software development and cloud technologies.
• Expertise in Agile methodologies, project management frameworks, and delivery practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
