Engineering Manager (DevEx) at Dealmaker

Our platform has powered major raises for high-profile clients like the Green Bay Packers and Miso Robotics, and we have successfully supported three IPOs in the past year alone. As a well-capitalized Series A company, we are looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to lead our Developer Experience (DevEx) initiatives and help us scale our operations globally.

Key outcomes

• Build and lead a high-performing team of engineers, focusing on mentorship, professional growth, and a culture of collaboration.
• Define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for our internal developer platform in partnership with organizational stakeholders.
• Design and implement technical solutions that resolve developer pain points and streamline our workflows.
• Contribute as an individual contributor by building and scaling the tools and systems that improve overall engineering efficiency.
• Collaborate with the DevSecOps team to integrate infrastructure automation, security protocols, and compliance requirements into our development lifecycle.
• Act as a primary advocate for our engineering team, gathering feedback to drive continuous improvement in our development environment.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a leadership role, with a track record of mentoring teams and fostering high performance.
• Strong technical background in designing and scaling software systems, particularly with cloud platforms and infrastructure automation.
• Practical experience with Ruby on Rails, which is central to our current technology stack.
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical partners.
• A deep-seated passion for developer experience and a pragmatic approach to building efficient, secure, and productive environments.
• Fluency in English.
