About the Role
We are looking for a Lead Engineering Manager to join our Database Reliability Engineering (DBRE) team within the Cloud Platform Engineering domain. This is a full-time, hybrid position where you will oversee the strategy, architecture, and operations of our global database platforms. You will lead a team of talented engineers, ensuring our data infrastructure remains reliable, scalable, and high-performing to support our vast array of applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the technical roadmap for our database platforms, including architecture choices and the reduction of technical debt in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Mentor and inspire a team of DBREs and platform engineers, fostering an environment of autonomy, technical excellence, and professional growth.
- Drive the industrialization of operations by implementing full automation to minimize manual tasks and maximize time spent on innovation.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Significant experience as an Engineering Manager or a senior technical lead with a proven track record of managing high-performing teams in large-scale tech environments.
- Deep expertise in relational and NoSQL database architectures.
- Strong proficiency in multi-cloud environments, particularly GCP and AWS, alongside experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform.
- Solid technical foundation in Python, GitHub, and Datadog for observability.
- Fluency in English to effectively collaborate with our international teams and global suppliers.
