Role at a glance
We are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead our Content Management team. This is a full-time, remote position open to candidates anywhere in the world. We are looking for an experienced leader who can guide a full-stack team in building scalable, innovative systems that support our global educational catalog.
Your impact
- Lead and mentor a high-performing team of engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, inclusivity, and operational excellence.
- Drive the technical roadmap by partnering with product, design, and data teams to build predictive and automated systems for content lifecycle management.
- Architect scalable solutions using modern technologies like Java, Scala, GraphQL, and React to ensure our platform remains reliable and high-performing as we grow.
What you'll need
- At least 5 years of experience in software product development, with a minimum of 2 years in an engineering management role.
- A strong foundation in system design, data structures, and algorithms, with professional coding experience in your background.
- Expertise in building large-scale distributed systems and familiarity with modern backend and frontend stacks like Java, Scala, TypeScript, and React.
- Experience with Generative AI applications and API frameworks such as GraphQL or gRPC.
- A high degree of emotional intelligence and the ability to thrive in ambiguous, complex environments.
- Excellent communication skills in English and the ability to collaborate effectively across time zones.
