We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead our Business Intelligence team and help shape the future of our data infrastructure. GetYourGuide is the world’s leading marketplace for travel experiences, connecting millions of travelers with unforgettable activities since 2009 through our global team of over 700 experts.

Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and manage a team of engineers to ensure high engagement and team health.
Collaborate with our Product, Marketing, and Finance departments to solve complex business problems through data and reporting solutions.
Oversee the development of our Marketing Attribution system, which manages over 100M EUR in annual investments.
Manage our A/B Experimentation Reporting Platform to support data-driven decision-making across the company.
Improve data discoverability, quality, and pipeline management to ensure operational efficiency.
Define clear metrics and service level objectives to maintain system health.

Must-haves

Three to five years of direct experience in people management within data-focused teams.
Strong background in Data Engineering or Data Analytics, comparable to a Senior Engineer level.
Proficiency with Python, SQL, and modern reporting stacks.
A customer-centric mindset with a proven ability to prioritize based on business impact.
Experience managing operational excellence, including on-call rotations and quality standards.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Nice-to-haves

Expertise in Product and Marketing Analytics, A/B Experimentation, and Marketing Attribution.
Experience with large-scale data processing tools like Apache Spark and Airflow.
A background in software engineering with a focus on end-to-end system ownership.
A formal background in statistics.
