What you bring

As a Senior Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of software engineers while collaborating closely with product managers and designers. This is a full-time, hybrid role based in the United States, requiring three days in the office each week. You will utilize your expertise in Golang, AWS, MySQL, Git, Docker, and Kafka to drive our payroll and engineering initiatives forward. Your primary responsibilities include:

• Partnering with cross-functional teams to prioritize, schedule, and execute projects that deliver new features to our customers.
• Providing technical and professional guidance to your direct reports to foster their growth.
• Managing the end-to-end recruitment process to help build and scale our engineering team.

Requirements

We are looking for a candidate who possesses at least seven years of professional hands-on experience, including a minimum of two years in a management capacity. You should have a deep understanding of core web development technologies, such as distributed systems, data structures, and algorithms. Success in this role requires strong communication skills, allowing you to explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
