The opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineering Manager to lead one of our talented, high-energy product engineering teams. In this role, you will be the driving force behind the design and construction of our core application modules and infrastructure. You will work closely with leadership to shape our technical roadmap while ensuring that our services remain performant, scalable, and reliable as we continue to grow. A day in the life

• You will guide and mentor a team of passionate engineers, helping them grow their careers while maintaining high standards for code quality and technical productivity.
• You will dive into the technical details by designing scalable services and solving complex problems related to database clustering, infrastructure automation, and system architecture.
• You will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and global leadership to define product strategy and deliver exceptional user experiences to our customers worldwide.

Who you are

You are a seasoned leader with over 7 years of experience in building high-performance applications, ideally within a high-growth startup environment. You possess a deep understanding of modern technology stacks and have strong opinions on how to balance innovation with scalable processes. You are an expert communicator who can explain complex technical concepts clearly, and you have a proven track record of hiring and developing diverse, world-class engineering talent. Our team works with a stack that includes ReactJS, ReactNative, Kotlin, Spring, MariaDB, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS, so you should be comfortable navigating these or similar technologies. Above all, you are someone who thrives on autonomy, loves to get your hands dirty with code, and is deeply obsessed with providing the best possible experience for our users.
