Engineering Manager, Atlas at Anchorage Digital

Anchorage Digital is looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to lead our Atlas team on a full-time basis. Since our founding in 2017, we have established ourselves as a regulated crypto platform that provides institutions with integrated financial services and secure custody solutions. As the operator of the first federally chartered crypto bank in the United States, we are dedicated to building the infrastructure that allows institutions to participate in the digital asset economy safely. We operate as a remote-friendly global team, and we are searching for humble and creative individuals to join our growing organization of over 300 people.

Responsibilities

• Refine our engineering roadmap, establish a clear technology strategy, and drive operational excellence across your team.
• Take full ownership of your team's growth, which includes hiring high-caliber engineers, mentoring current staff, and managing performance to ensure everyone feels challenged and fulfilled.
• Collaborate closely with product managers to align technical investments with product goals, ensuring that our execution remains high-quality and timely.

Requirements

• Proven experience managing, mentoring, and scaling geographically distributed engineering teams.
• Strong background in building complex distributed systems, with a deep understanding of computer science fundamentals like algorithms, concurrency, and data structures.
• A commitment to high-quality code and robust test infrastructure, with a focus on delivering genuine business value to our end users.
• While we primarily use Go, we value your overall engineering judgment and management capabilities over expertise in any single language.
• A methodical and tenacious approach to problem-solving, with the ability to navigate complex and ambiguous technical challenges.

What we offer
