We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to join our team on a full-time, remote basis. At Fieldwire, we provide a construction field management platform that has been used on over one million projects across the globe. Our mission is to improve how teams coordinate labor and access information in the construction industry, which is a ten trillion dollar global sector. Since our acquisition by Hilti in 2021, we have continued to focus on delivering a high-quality, user-friendly mobile experience that our customers rely on daily.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a dedicated team of five Android engineers, focusing on their professional growth, career development, and daily performance.
- Drive the technical architecture and design of our Android applications to ensure they remain scalable, maintainable, and performant as we grow.
- Partner with product managers, designers, and backend teams to manage the full development lifecycle, from initial planning and estimation to final deployment and maintenance.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Proven professional experience in Android app development, including a deep understanding of relevant frameworks and APIs.
- Demonstrated success in a technical leadership or management role where you have overseen a team of engineers.
- Strong proficiency in the Kotlin programming language and Android Studio.
- A solid grasp of Agile and Scrum methodologies to help streamline our development processes.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across different functional teams.
What we offer
We offer a competitive annual salary range of $195,000 to $220,000. In addition to this base compensation, you may be eligible for a corporate bonus of up to 20 percent. Our team members also enjoy the following benefits:
