We are searching for a skilled Software Engineering Manager to lead our new Automated Intelligence and Clinical Data teams. At Sprinter, we are reimagining last-mile healthcare delivery to support patients who have been underserved by the traditional system, and we need a strong leader to help us tackle complex logistics and data challenges at scale.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of five to ten engineers, overseeing hiring, professional development, and performance management.
- Direct the development of our data warehouse to unify clinical, operational, and logistics information.
- Create systems to uncover care gaps and predict patient risk through deep analysis.
- Utilize LLMs to synthesize clinical summaries for our nurse practitioners.
- Implement automated validation and anomaly detection to prevent medical data errors.
- Harmonize reporting processes to support millions of patients across major health plans.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, operations, and data teams to deliver meaningful impact.
Must-haves
- At least 3 years of experience managing and growing engineering teams.
- A minimum of 5 years of hands-on software engineering experience, specifically in full-stack development.
- Proficiency with Node.js and React.
- Proven ability to lead data-intensive teams, including work with data pipelines, analytics platforms, or ML infrastructure.
- A track record of balancing rapid execution with technical excellence in a high-growth environment.
- Fluency in English.
Nice-to-haves
- Background in health tech, healthcare operations, or complex logistics environments.
- Experience scaling backend systems to handle rapid business growth.
- Familiarity with data privacy standards, HIPAA compliance, and healthcare security best practices.
- Hands-on experience building and managing Big Data platforms.
