Role at a glance
We are searching for an Engineering Lead to join our core team on a full-time basis. This is a lead-level position where you will manage a small, high-trust team while remaining hands-on with our product stack. This role is hybrid, with expectations for team members to work from our San Francisco or New York City hubs twice per week.
Your impact
- Own a core segment of our product stack by managing a small, high-performing engineering team.
- Shape our technical trajectory by driving key architectural decisions and influencing overall product strategy.
- Contribute directly to the codebase while fostering a culture of ownership, rapid shipping, and high talent density.
What you'll need
We value candidates who are self-starters and thrive in environments with high ambiguity. To be successful, you should bring the following:
- At least 5 years of experience writing production-grade code, with a preference for proficiency in Ruby or React.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a leadership or management capacity.
- Strong written communication skills, as our culture relies heavily on documentation and clear, thoughtful writing.
- A proven track record of initiative, such as founding a startup or contributing to open-source projects.
- A deep passion for the startup ecosystem and a desire to move fast.
