You will join an award-winning PropTech startup based in Winnipeg that is transforming property experiences across the US and Canadian real estate markets with modern technology solutions. As the company's first in-house software engineer, you will shape engineering standards from day one and help lay the foundation for a scalable internal development team while reporting directly to the President and Co-Founder.
What you'll be doing
- Guide the transition from external contractors to a fully in-house engineering function by establishing technical leadership and best practices.
- Write and review production code in the current stack, setting high standards for quality, maintainability, and efficient delivery of new features.
- Collaborate across product, design, and business teams to plan and deliver projects while contributing to both the short-term roadmap and the long-term growth of the engineering organization.
What you'll bring
- At least three years of professional software development experience, ideally gained within a fast-growing startup environment.
- Hands-on experience leading, mentoring, or managing other developers.
- Proven success delivering clean, deployable applications using .NET, C#, React, SQL, and Microsoft Azure (or closely comparable technologies).
- Strong results-oriented mindset and the ability to thrive in varied technical settings; prior work in PropTech, FinTech, data migrations, or multiple coding environments is an advantage.
- Fluency in English.
What you'll get
We offer a salary of 75000 CAD along with equity compensation. You will also benefit from a hybrid work arrangement while being based in Manitoba.
