The role
We are looking for an Engineering Lead for Digital & Omnichannel Technology to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a senior-level leadership role that operates 100% remotely, though you will report to our headquarters in Ballwin, Missouri. You will be responsible for guiding our development and operations teams as we scale our SaaS solutions and enhance our digital footprint.
Core responsibilities
- Lead the development and operations team to build and maintain high-performing, scalable web and mobile applications that support our omnichannel business goals.
- Collaborate across departments, including IT infrastructure, security, and digital experience teams, to translate business needs into technical designs and enterprise-ready software solutions.
- Oversee the full software development lifecycle, including the creation of microservices on AWS, troubleshooting production issues, and mentoring junior developers to foster technical excellence.
Skills and experience
To be successful in this role, you should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Management Information Systems, or a related field, along with 5 years of progressive experience in the industry. We are looking for candidates who possess deep technical expertise in the following areas:
- Programming and Frameworks: Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, React, Node.js, and RESTful APIs.
- Data and Architecture: Experience with MongoDB, Oracle, and modern microservice frameworks like SpringBoot and SpringBatch.
- Cloud and DevOps: Hands-on experience with AWS systems, including AWS Lambda, Amazon S3, CloudFront, CloudWatch, EKS, ECS, Fargate, and Route 53.
- Methodologies: A strong background in DevOps practices, such as Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, and Test-driven Development, alongside experience working within an Agile framework.
