What you bring

We are seeking an Engineering Lead to join us on a full-time basis in the United Kingdom. In this hybrid role, you will blend technical authority with leadership to drive our Customer Services and Digital Onboarding platforms forward. Your work will directly impact our ability to scale into new markets while maintaining high standards of security and operational efficiency. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Guiding and mentoring a high-performance engineering team to solve complex technical challenges and improve overall skill sets.
• Collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to design and implement innovative, high-impact solutions that deliver real business value.
• Taking ownership of the discovery and delivery process, including hands-on technical work like creating proofs of concept and minimum viable products.

Requirements

The ideal candidate is a highly collaborative leader with a proven track record of improving code quality, performance, and scalability. You should have extensive experience with microservice architectures, REST APIs, and at least one major cloud provider such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure. Proficiency in Typescript, Node.js, and Golang is essential, alongside a deep understanding of modern runtimes like Kubernetes and AWS Lambda. We are looking for someone who has successfully integrated third-party service providers for Auth0, identity verification, and eKYC compliance. You must be fluent in English and possess the ability to advocate for pragmatic, effective solutions while pushing back against unnecessary over-engineering.
