What you bring

We are seeking a Senior Engineering Lab Supervisor to join our team on a full-time basis at our facility in Edinburgh, United Kingdom. In this role, you will lead our lab operations and support our R&D efforts across our UK sites. Your core responsibilities will include:

• Managing and coordinating a group of electronics technicians across our Edinburgh and Newbury locations to ensure high-quality lab performance.
• Overseeing lab operations, including the implementation of procedures, equipment calibration, and the procurement of specialized hardware.
• Performing advanced technical tasks, such as surface-mount soldering, PCB repair, and custom cable assembly to support our hardware platforms.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should possess a national qualification in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or an equivalent background. We are looking for a self-driven leader who excels at motivating others and managing team workloads effectively. You must be comfortable working with standard lab equipment like oscilloscopes and power supplies, and you should have the ability to interpret complex circuit board schematics. Strong communication skills in English are essential, as you will be collaborating with cross-functional groups. We value candidates who are organized, detail-oriented, and capable of documenting results accurately. While not strictly required, previous experience in a supervisory role and basic knowledge of programming languages like Python or C will be considered a significant advantage.
