What you bring

As an Engineering Intern, you will join our team in the United States for an internship that focuses on the design and development of our AST platform. You will work cross-functionally with our microbiology, chemistry, systems, and software teams to refine our technology. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Improving our robotics by implementing new features and designs that enhance reliability, user interface, and overall speed.
• Testing new software updates and features developed by our external partners.
• Troubleshooting equipment issues and conducting root-cause failure analysis to resolve anomalous test results.

Requirements

We are looking for a student currently pursuing an Engineering degree with a GPA above 3.2 who is eager to explore the integration of biochemical, electromechanical, and software systems. You should be comfortable working in a wet lab environment, where you will receive full training and the necessary protective equipment to handle chemicals and microorganisms safely. We value candidates who are independent problem-solvers, highly organized, and detail-oriented. You must possess excellent English communication skills to effectively share your statistical analysis findings with our scientists and engineers. A passion for the fast-paced environment of an early-stage startup is essential, and please note that COVID-19 vaccination is a requirement for this position.
